The Williamson County Environmental Health Office is staffed by five Environmentalists who work primarily out of the office completing various business/environmental inspections within Williamson County. Environmentalists fall under the direction of the County Health Director but work independently under the Environmental Health Supervisor at a separate office from the local Health Department.
Environmentalists are responsible for the inspection of facilities in Williamson County that involve the following:
-Body piercing
-Camps
-Child Care
-Food service
-Hotels
-Public pools
-Schools
-Tattoos
Through inspection and enforcement of state law and regulation, Environmentalists play an integral part in maintaining the health of citizens in Williamson County.
