Volunteer Organizations Active in Disaster

The Williamson County Emergency Management Agency has been working with the Tennessee Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster (VOAD) to address unmet needs of households affected by the flood and storm event of March 25th to April 3rd. A wide range of services can be provided free of charge to affected residents, regardless of other Federal assistance.  Some examples of services include, but are not limited to:

  •  Debris removal from homes or property including in streams and creeks
  •  Removal of drywall, flooring and other affected items
  •  Mold remediation
  •  Downed tree removal

We also encourage you to call the TN United Methodist Disaster Assistance hotline at 615-370-9255 to speak directly to a volunteer coordinator about your needs.

 In addition, a VOAD representatives will be available in the Multi-Agency Coordination Center that will be located at the Grassland Middle School, 2390 Hillsboro Road and operated from May 22-28 from 9am to 6pm daily. This will afford you the opportunity to ask specific questions about any unmet needs you have and how these collective volunteer organizations may be able to help.
